T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital Welcomes Three New Doctors To Its Medical Staff

T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger announced the addition of three new doctors to its staff.

Whitney Brown, MD, will join the Pediatric Endocrinology staff. Dr. Brown received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine after graduating Summa Cum Laude at Samford University. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at the University of South Carolina and then trained as a Fellow in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Brown is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Pediatric endocrinology is a medical subspecialty dealing with variations of physical growth and sexual development in children, as well as diabetes and other disorders of the endocrine glands. Pediatric endocrinologists strive to restore normal health, growth and development in children with hormonal disorders.

Jason Zurawick, MD, will serve as a full-time hospitalist at Children's Hospital.

Dr. Zurawick received his Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University, where he was a University Honors Scholar, and went on to earn his medical degree from the Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. He completed his pediatric residency and fellowship training at the UT College of Medicine Chattanooga at Erlanger. Dr. Zurawick is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Lewis McCoy Miller, MD, will join the Pediatric Neurology staff. Dr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to receive his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine.

He completed his residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Salem, North Carolina, and trained as a Fellow in pediatric neurology at the University Baptist Medical Center.

Dr. Miller is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He has multiple publications to his credit on topics related to pediatric stroke and epilepsy.

Pediatric neurology is a medical subspecialty that deals with the evaluation, diagnose and the care of children with problems involving the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system and muscular systems.
