High gas prices have led to a surge of business at Ultimate Cycle And Scooter, owner Charley Wade said.
The firm is leasing space from the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport on Jubilee Drive in Brainerd.
Mr. Wade said the site will give him a much-larger work bay area (70x40) than at the current site at 1604 Market St. (25x30).
He also said there is a spacious area in the back for biker gatherings and entertainments. He said he carries $2 million in insurance.
Mr. Wade said he plans to keep both operations open for the time being.
The property was used at one time by Kelly Cadillac and a portion by the Joe Prebul dealership.
The lease is for five years with an initial monthly charge of $3,500.
Airport officials noted they no longer will be responsible for the roof and HVAC under the agreement.
