Marie Hegwood Lowrance, 88, died on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred “Wint” Lowrance; parents, Bart and Lelia Quarles Hegwood; sisters, Lois Loughridge, Bernice Graves, Annabell Quarles, Rosalee Stanfield; brother, Judd Hegwood; niece, Sandra Stanfield Glenn.
She was a member of LaFayette First Baptist Church.
She loved to go dancing and loved animals of all kinds.
She is survived by a sister, Ernestine Stanfield, LaFayette; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in LaFayette Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Todd Gaddis.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are to be made to Georgia Chapter Alzheimer’s Association, 855 Abutment Road, Suite 6, Dalton, Ga. 30721.
The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
