Hoover, Emma Herold
Worked For Bellsouth For 30 Years

Emma Herold Hoover, 90, died on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008.

A native of Baltimore, Md., she had lived in the North Georgia Chattanooga area for the past 46 years and was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Bellsouth Telephone where she worked for 30 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Hoover; son, Ken Hoover; and two brothers, James and Joseph Herold.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverleigh and Don Sullivan, of Ringgold; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hoover, of Ringgold; sister, Myrtle Warren, of Boca Raton, Fl.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sammy Simmons, Pastor Steve Sullivan and Pastor Danny Henson officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
