Bruce Allen Hodge Sr., 57, of Rising Fawn died on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Hodge, and brothers, Jack and James Hodge.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fort Oglethorpe.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jackie Hodge of Rising Fawn, mother and stepfather, Wanda and Edgar Wethington of Cloudland; children, Bruce Hodge, Jr., Beverly Young, Becky Hodge, Brian Hodge all of Ohio; stepsons, Terry McElhaney of Cleveland, David McElhaney of Red Bank; siblings, David Hodge of Florida, Gail Brock of Rock Spring, Karen Bruns of Ohio, Loretta Scott of Fort Oglethorpe, Greta Meadows of Florida; 18 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday in the chapel with Rev. Warren Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
His family will receive friends from 8 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
