Siskin Offers Community Support Events
posted August 25, 2008

Siskin Children's Institute will be offering the following community support events this year.

Family Conversations will explore various topics that impact the families of children with disabilities. This group will be offered throughout the year every other month. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to discuss the topic of "Strengthening Your Marriage When You Have a Child with a Disability".

Siskin Children's Institute will also offer a lunchtime book group that meets the second Tuesday of every other month. This group will read and review books that touch on disabilities. These are very readable fiction or biographical books selected to spark discussion. The first meeting for this year will be Sept. 8th at 12:30, when we will talk about The Lottery by Patricia Wood.

Both of these community events take place in Siskin Children's Institute located at 1101 Carter Street, downtown Chattanooga. If you have an interest in participating in Family Conversations or the Siskin Book Group, please contact Beth Oldham at 423 648-1757 or Karen Coleman at 423 648-1754.
