Election For New County School Board Member Will Be Nov. 4 County Commission Could Name Interim Board Member posted August 25, 2008 An election for a new District 4 County School Board member to replace Debra Matthews, who died Sunday, will be Nov. 4. Candidates can pick up application papers now, election officials said. The qualifying deadline is Sept. 10 at noon. The County Commission could opt to name an interim school board member to serve for the months of September and October. Also on Nov. 4, along with the presidential balloting, is a special election to name a new Red Bank commissioner. That is to replace Vice Mayor Ronnie Moore, who died while on a vacation in Poland. Dallas Rucker Jr. has submitted papers as a candidate. |
