Ruby Falls has announced the three winners of this year’s John Thomas Steiner Sr. Collegiate Scholarship Award.

The funding of the annual scholarships honors the memory of former president of Ruby Falls, Jack Steiner Sr., who recognized the significance of hard work and education, wanting to assist in the further academic development of promising young people who work for the Chattanooga attraction he was so devoted to.

“Over the past few years I have come to see the people at Ruby Falls as an extended family,” said recipient Alisha Pace. “It is nice to know that they support me going back to school like any real family. I hope their faith in me is answered and I make them proud.”

Jeremy Gardner said, “As a Ruby Falls tour guide, I meet new friends, play a big game of follow the leader and learn that employees can be my family. I would like to thank God, the scholarship committee and Mo Steiner for the award.”

Alisha Pace is a senior at UTC and is majoring in early childhood education.

Jeremy Gardner is a junior entrepreneurship major at UTC.

The third winner, Jeremy Wayne Hooper, is a junior at UTC studying environmental science in biology.
