McIntosh, Martha Deriso (Dalton)

Mrs. Martha Deriso McIntosh, 91, of Dalton, died on Monday August 25, 2008 at Regency Park Health Care.

She was the daughter of the late, Horace and Ruby Deriso of Leslie, Ga. Mrs. McIntosh was a long-time member of the Dalton First Baptist Church, the Gleaners Sunday School Class, and the Women’s Missionary Union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Olin McIntosh; their son, John Edward McIntosh; her brothers, George, Walter and Buddy Deriso; her sisters, Hilda Walter and Gladys Bald.

Mrs. McIntosh is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Otis (Mac) and Marion McIntosh, James (Jim) and Helen McIntosh all of Dalton; grandchildren, and spouses, Christi and Jay Crocker of Houston, Tx., John and Amy McIntosh of Dalton, Dr. Bryan and Lynn McIntosh of Dalton, and Blythe and Art Daniel of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren, Ashley Crocker and Carley Crocker of College Station, Tx; Jake and Mallory Mcintosh of Dalton, Sarah McIntosh, Ann McIntosh both of Dalton, and Maris Daniel of Colorado Springs; her sisters, Colleen Deriso McCraine of Columbus, Ga., and Joan Deriso Carter of Columbia, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Wilson, Dr. Billy Nimmons, and Dr. Bryan McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the First Baptist Church on Wednesday from 9:30 until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, Ga. 30722-0827 or The women’s Enrichment Center, 109 W. Gordon St., Dalton, GA. 30720.
