Thomas Hamilton “Hamp” Simmons, 83, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite in Newton, Texas. Mr. Simmons worked throughout the world as a Petro-Chemical Engineer.
His parents, Rayford and Elma Simmons, and nine brothers and sisters, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Barnes Biggs Simmons; daughters, Roxanne (Lawrence) Weaver, Debra (Darrell) Earls, Kim (Greg) Grahm; step-daughter, Carlette (Cary) Sandridge; brother, Jasper Simmons; sister, Bertha Mae Richardson; grandsons, Ross and Ryan Grahm; granddaughter, Neva Anderson; and a great-granddaughter, Shae Sandridge.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
