Rubye McNew, 78, died on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, in a local hospital.
She had been a resident of North Georgia for 13 years, coming from Rockwood, Tn. Mrs. McNew attended Parkway Baptist Temple and Anchor of Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors are her niece, Saborah Webb, Decatur, Tn.; two great-nephews, Gregory Stephens and George Stephens; one great-great-nephew, Justin Stephens; friends, Deborah Zimmerman, of Ringgold, and Barbara Majors, of Harriman, Tn.; and several cousins.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, Tn., with Dr. David Sampson officiating and special music by Kyle Taylor.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkway Baptist Temple or Anchor of Hope Mission Fund.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
