A lifelong resident of Rhea County, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Katie (Johnson) Dotson. Iva had been employed with DeLong Sportswear and enjoyed gardening. She was of the Church of God faith.
Iva is survived by her son Kenny (Kathy) Barnes of Dayton; daughters Sherry Barnes of Graysville and Brenda Standifer of Sale Creek; ten sisters, Dorothy Shelby of Hixson, Ethel Stinnett of ID, Bertha Revis, Linda Janow, Shirley Price, Patsy Gadd and Wilma White all of Dayton, Patricia Denton of Graysville, Nancy Smith of Pikeville and Barbara Brown of Sale Creek; two brothers, Calvin Dotson of Evensville and Harold Dotson of Sand Mountain, Ga.; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Iva will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leroy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.
