Willie Charles Davis, 47, of Summerville, died on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Davis was born in Chattooga County Ga., on August 16, 1961. He attended Chattooga High School and was employed with Taco Bell. He was a loving son and helped his mother with the house work. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by at his sister, Mary Jean William.
Survivors include his mother, Ms. Lulla Davis and step-father, Mr. Odell Mosteller, of Summerville, Ga.; two daughters, Miss Lastia Stewart, Miss Cira Stewart; 3 step-daughters, Shanta Stewart, Rossheena Stewart, Lascasta Stewart all of Rome, Ga.; sister, Wanda Suttle, Rossville, Ga.; brother, Jerry Lee Davis, SC; several aunts and uncles; a special aunt Helen Williams, Summerville, GA.; a special cousin, Sarah Ruth Thompson.
Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jackie Wilson and other Ministers officiating with an interment in the AMI Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Parker, Jessie Wilson, George Johnson, Larry Fife, Randy Smith, Kevin Dozier. Flowers Bearers, Cynthia Smith, Dorothy Johnson, Amanda Johnson, Shanta Stewart, Angie Johnson, Amanda Johnson.
Mr. Davis will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour on Thursday. At other hours, the family may be contacted at the residence of his mother, 157 Y Street, Summerville.
