Clyde Joseph Bishop, 84, of East Ridge, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at a local hospital.
Mr. Bishop was born in Chattanooga to George and Addie Bishop. He was a member of East Ridge United Methodist Church where he served as the Church Treasurer for many years and belonged to the Friendship Bible Class.
Surviving are his sister, Barbara Bishop of East Ridge; brothers, Ivey Bishop of East Ridge and James Bishop of Jacksonville, Fl.; and several cousins, including Mary Lee Sims of Chattanooga and Peggy Parker of Dayton, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
