David Hayes Waters Sr., 61, of Hixson, died on August 25, 2008 at his home.
He was predeceased by his parents, James R. Waters and Theta M. Winningham Waters, and brothers, James H. Waters and Lloyd H. Waters.
Survivors include his three sons and one daughter, son and daughter-in-law, David and Lori Waters, Ringgold, daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Joe Stevens, Trenton, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Mary Ann Waters, Trenton; son, Randy Waters, Rising Fawn, Ga.; six grandsons, Jessie Waters, Wayne Stevens, James Waters, Aaron Stevens, Bret Waters and Brandon Stevens; granddaughter, Savannah Waters; four brothers, Harold Waters, Howard Waters, Harland Waters and Harsley Waters; four sisters, Shelby Waters, Bonnie White, Joyce Bridges and Patricia Woodburn; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Brainerd Hills Church of God from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Jim Torbett will conduct the service on Friday at 1 p.m. in the church. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
