He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Clonts was a Boiler Maker having worked at Combustion Engineering with 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dora Sue, in April 2008, mother, Susie Quinn, and his sister, Thelma Wilson. He is survived by his son, Clyde Clonts of Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Vickery of Rossville; sister, Marjorie (Midge) Robinson of Ringgold; grandchildren, Andrea and Monica Vickery, Wayne and Sharon Wilson, Jane, Steve, Gary, Renee’, Candi and Susan Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
