She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church “Lydia” Sunday school class.
Mrs. McElhenney was preceded in death by her parents, William Napoleon Harper and Gertrude Chambers Harper; sister, Avis Miller; and brothers, Harris and Harry Harper.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Morgan Powell McElhenney Jr.; two daughters, Gail McElhenney Mount, Jill Spear; son-in-law, Douglas Spear; granddaughters, Haley White, Emily Spear; sister, Barbara J. Haper.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Walter Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the North Chapel.
