Nell Mohney, author, inspirational writer and columnist will be the speaker at the First Friends September luncheon Thursday, Sept. 4, in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave. The program for the senior adult gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m., with lunch following.
The menu will include barbeque pork and chicken, baked beans, slaw, buns, peach cobbler, tea and coffee. The cost is $5. Reservations may be made by calling the church office at 265-2257.
