Morgan, Freddy Franklin

Freddy Franklin Morgan, 60, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at his home.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was an avid U.T. football fan, also an avid hunter and fisherman with his sons and brother-in-law, Herman Johnson. He was retired from Dixie Saving Stores after 36 years of service. He was a member of Soddy Masonic Lodge 418 F&AM and the Alhambra Shrines.

He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Leonard Morgan.

He is survived by his mother, Lorene Morgan; sons, Donald Morgan, of Red Bank, Ronald Morgan, of Dunlap; daughter, Wanda Hancock, of Dunlap; sisters, Jeanette Johnson, of Murfreesboro, Linda Key, of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lewis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with a Masonic service at the graveside.

His family will receive friends after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
