Estep, Rosa W. (Cleveland)

Rosa W. Estep, 94, of Cleveland, died early Tuesday morning at the family residence.

Mrs. Estep was the daughter of the late Mary Taylor Warren and Dan Warren. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Reverend Albert Haynes and Reverend Granville Estep; her son, Howard Gene Haynes; her step son, Lonnie Estep; and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Estep was a pastor’s wife for many years, serving in Kentucky and Tennessee. What ever community she lived and served in she was known as being caring and very helpful. She always served in the background and required no praise for her help. Mrs. Estep was known to have a green thumb. She loved working in her vegetable garden and flower garden. She enjoyed canning the vegetables she grew and would often just give it away. Mrs. Estep was a member of the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her daughter, Juanita Haynes Castle and her husband Van of Barboursville, Ky.; her son, James Franklin Haynes and his wife Mazel of Cleveland, Oh.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her grandson and caregiver, Jim York and his wife Dawn of Cleveland; her step daughters, Georgia Ewashko and her husband Paul of Georgetown, Ky., Ruth Keeling and her husband Joseph and Lorene Chapka and her husband Frank; her step sons, John Estep and his wife Shirley, Willard Estep and his wife Linda and Donald Estep all of Stanton, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted tonight at 8:00 from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Ray Wynn and Pastor Tim Coalter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. tonight at the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes.

The family will also receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday, at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home, 205 Kentucky Avenue, Pineville, Kentucky 40977. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted Saturday morning at 11:00 from the Pineville Cemetery.

The North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
