Soddy-Daisy volleyball picked up another win Thursday, defeating Cleveland 25-18, 25-23, 25-23.
The Lady Trojans are now 2-0 taking both matches without dropping a game.
Cleveland coach, Patricia Flowers praised the effort of her team. The Lady Raider's were led by Kara Bigham and Morgan Isom with great defense and play at the net. Jordan Beard served consistently, and Heather Carver, Gabby Earby, and Payton Tipton all three played well for Cleveland.
The Lady Raiders now have two tough losses in the young season, but Coach Flowers puts those in perspective.
"Tonight was a fun match to watch," she said. "I am proud of the way my girls came out and played with heart and intensity from start to finish. We have some things that we need to work on, but we continue to get stronger and that is what really matters for us right now."
Cleveland will play in the Bradley tournament this weekend with strong teams like Red Bank, Walker Valley, and Dobyns Bennett.
