Chad Broussard, 42, was caught at approximately 8 a.m.
Fugitive detectives received information from New Iberia, La., regarding the possible location of Broussard at the Econo Lodge at 7421 Bonny Oaks Dr.
Officers were told that he had been living at the motel for some time with a female companion.
He has outstanding warrants for aggravated child rape and molestation of a juvenile from New Iberia, along with other unrelated charges from LaFayette County, La.
