They Baylor volleyball team played host Thursday and fell to Red Bank 3-0 before defeating East Ridge 3-1.
Red Bank is on a roll picking up their third straight win in the 2008 season. The Lady Lions defeated Baylor 25-21, 25-15, 25-10.
Kalyn Helton and Courtney Lawson each had 12 kills for Red Bank. Lawson also had 15 assists and 13 digs. Christina Teter was big at the net with 7 kills and two blocks.
Melanie Gibson, and Bailey Lyness picked up a combined 30 digs thwarting Baylor's attack and setting up the offense for their own team.
Helen Jackson led the Baylor team against Red Bank with 7 kills, 1 ace, 1 block and 15 assists. Elli Rissanen had 8 digs and Jenna Brooke Elliot had four kills.
The Lady Raiders of Baylor turned around and defeated East Ridge in their second match of the evening. After dropping the first game to East Ridge they battled back for the 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-19.
Baylor is now 2-2 for the season.
Red Bank will play next in the Bradley Bash tournament this weekend. The Lady Lions have won the annual tournament the past two years.
