Shaner Hotel Group announced that it
has named Joseph Duperre as general manager of the Chattanooga Marriott at the Convention Center.
Mr. Duperre brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Shaner, most notably serving in roles of increasing responsibility at Marriott International properties in Arizona, Texas, California, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota, including serving as director of operations at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Most recently, Mr. Duperre served as general manager for Interstate Hotels & Resorts’ Holiday Inn Minneapolis property and the Morgantown, West Virginia Waterfront Place Hotel.
“Joe Duperre brings outstanding operations knowledge of large, full service properties and excellent people management skills to our management team” said Shaner Senior VP of Finance, J.B. Griffin. “We are genuinely excited to have someone with his knowledge and experience taking the reins at our Chattanooga Marriott hotel at the Convention Center.”
Mr. Duperre and his family are relocating to the Chattanooga area.
