Long-Term Care Is Topic For Downtown Council Meeting
posted August 29, 2008

Chuck Thompson, marketing and community liaison for Alexian Brothers Live At Home program, will be the speaker at the Sept. 4 meeting of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Council.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the Sheraton Read House at 827 Broad Street. Mr. Thompson's topic is "Myths and Misconceptions about Long-Term Home Care."

"Long-term care is increasingly important to our society as people live longer," said Tom Franceson, council vice president of programs. "We are pleased to have an expert in the field deliver this program, and we invite Chamber members and non-members to join us at the meeting."

The meeting's corporate sponsor is Country Inn & Suites, represented by Director of Sales Lori Jenkins.

Breakfast is $10 for members, $12 for non-members. Everyone is welcome to come early and stay after the program for networking.

The mission of the Chamber's Downtown Council is to support the revitalization of the central business district downtown and to help develop a cohesive business community.

Anyone interested in joining the Council or sponsoring a meeting is invited to contact Francescon at 423 648-9144.
