He was of the Baptist faith. He was a neighborhood saint. Mr. Wooden was the son of the late George Washington Wooden and Jessie Marie Holloway Wooden.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Glenda Wooden of Cleveland; two children, Donna M. Richeson and Frankie Wooden, Jr. both of Cleveland; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Wooden of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Roy Allen and Reverend Josiah Tomblin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Joy Taylor, Brandon Cooley, Neal Ridgeway, Robert Ogle, Sr., Robert Ogle, Jr. and Jereme Wooden serving as pallbearers.
