Cecil, Victoria Longtime Registered Nurse posted August 29, 2008 Victoria Cecil, 78, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008. She was born in Pakistan and had lived in Chattanooga since 1987. She was a registered nurse and was greatly loved by all of the patients she touched in this profession. She was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. Victoria is survived by her husband, Gilbert Cecil; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Nighat Cecil, David and Farah Cecil, and a daughter, Sheeba Pervez; seven grandchildren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Anoose Taj, and sisters-in-law, Mabel Mall and Martha Merrill. She was the eldest of five brothers and two sisters and leaves a large extended family in Pakistan and the United States. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel with Dr. Robert Haskins and Pastor Younis Farthat officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
