Christine Carter died on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at a local health care facility.
She was a member of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board. She was employed at the Chop house and also volunteered at the Community School.
Survivors include the staff and residents of the Davis Home; foster parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Morris W. Johnson and Shiloh members.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, at 1 p.m. at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris W. Johnson officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday, at 10 a.m. at National Cemetery.
Visitation after noon on Saturday at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
