Trapp, Clara Gambrell

Clara Gambrell Trapp, 89, of Chattanooga, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by parents, Riley and Allie Gambrell; husband, Otis Lee Trapp; sisters, Mable Gambrell Pedigo and Velma Leona Gambrell Hutchings Parrish; brothers, Verble Gambrell, Ruby Solon Gambrell, Loyd Ray Gambrell, Lee Roy Gambrell, William David Gambrell, Fred Winston Gambrell, James Clifford Gambrell.

She was a loving mother and homemaker, an avid Rook player at Red Bank Senior Center and attended One Accord Community Church in Red Bank.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Trapp Dyer and husband, Everette; grandsons, Jeffrey Lee Dyer and Bryan Vincent Dyer, all of Chattanooga; brother, Floyd “Joe” Gambrell, McMinnville, Tn.; and sister, Myrtle Pedigo, Smithville, Tn.; sister-in-law, Janell Gambrell, Hendersonville, Tenn.; nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. CDT on Friday, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Gardens of Memory.

Her family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. CDT Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home, 931 473-6606, www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
