Carson-Newman's Aubrey Morris (Chattanooga, Tenn.) has been named the South Atlantic Conference Runner of the Week announced Tuesday.
Morris led the Lady Eagles to the team title by winning the Tusculum Invitational on Saturday at the Greene Valley Development Center.
The former Chattanooga Christian runner turned in a time of 19:07, 26 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. The win was the first for Morris since the SAC meet in 2007, where she took SAC Runner of the Year honors.
For Morris, the win was the eighth of her career. She has won six different races.
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
