The public is invited to join the Hamilton County Community Advisory Board and Creative Discovery Museum as they present CAB for the Community, bringing educational resources and links together within the community. The CAB represents resources that can empower and protect families in crisis or everyday life needs by providing information to parents and increasing their awareness of how to be a responsible parent.
On Thursday, Sept. 11, Creative Discovery Museum will stay open after operating hours to present Wal-Mart Free Family Night from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be many community resources available to parents and children and two puppet performances by Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block in the Museum Auditorium.
Every day the Department of Children’s Services takes in hundreds of children. The Hamilton County Community Advisory Board wants to help empower the community giving them the resources they need, unused diapers, baby wipes, and powdered baby formula will be collected throughout the evening.
There will also be three drop off sites that will be collecting new baby items:
-Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block, 310 E. 8th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37405
-Parents Are First Teachers, 317 Oak Street Room 102, Chattanooga, TN 37405
-Department of Children’s Services, 909 Vine Street, Chattanooga, TN 37405
