Robert Lee Teeters, 74, died on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at his residence.
He was born in Sequatchie County, Tn., to the late Parker and Alice Clements Teeters. He retired after more than 30 years of service from Textile Printing Co.
He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Rossville. He enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, working on small engines and loved watching his humming birds.
He was preceded in death by his infant twin sister, brothers, C.L. Teeters and Alden Teeters.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Teeters, of Rossville; his children and their spouses, Robert “Jeff” and Marcia Teeters, of Fort Oglethorpe, Greg Teeters, of Rossville, Bruce and Glenda Teeters, of Rossville, Lori and Kenny Parker, of Fort Oglethorpe, Phillip and Vicky Teeters, of Flintstone, Ga., Vickie Casteel, of Ringgold, Ga., Marvilla and David Wright, of Rossville; sisters, Mary Edith Smith, of Dunlap, Tn., Betty Jo Denton, of Cleveland, Tn.; brother, Daryl and Mary Ellen Teeters, of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog “Jake.”
The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, all day Sunday and Monday morning until the service.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, at Westside Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
