AC unit arrives
Chattanooga Christian School elementary students watched as a new air-conditioning unit for the elementary gymnasium was unloaded by a 70+ foot crane.

Picking the unit up off the truck bed was met with cheers from the nearly 400 students in grades K through 5.

The new unit was purchased, in part, with proceeds from the PTO’s fundraiser where students sell different types of garbage bags once a year. Funds from generous donors completed the project.

The elementary school gym is one of three gyms on the Chattanooga Christian School campus of 40+ acres. The school is nearing completion of a new building to house the fourth and fifth grades which will allow expansion of the other elementary classrooms housed in the oldest part of the school.

CCS enters its 38th year of operation of which the past 26 years have been at this Broad Street/Charger Drive location, formally an abandoned car dealership.

This year’s enrollment nears 1,100 in grades K through 12.

Located on the Southside of Chattanooga, CCS is the city’s largest private school.
