J. Ed. Marston, vice president of marketing and communication for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, will discuss the Volkswagen plant at the Chamber's Ooltewah/Collegedale Council meeting on Sept. 17.
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Collegedale City Hall at 4910 Swinyar Drive. Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend.
Mr. Marston was a key player in the Chamber's six-month recruitment of Volkswagen to Enterprise South. The Chamber's primary contact with Volkswagen public relations officials, he developed an array of marketing materials about Chattanooga for a variety of Volkswagen constituencies.
Mr. Marston's presentation will examine the anticipated impact of Volkswagen on the Chattanooga area.
"This is topic Number One for businesses, as well as residents, in our communities," said Scott Kornblum, council vice president of programs. "We encourage everyone who wants to hear about the project from a Chamber official thoroughly familiar with the VW project to join us for the meeting."
