A breast cancer educational series will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m.

Dr. Mark Leech, plastic surgeon, will present Breast Reconstruction...What to Expect Now and Years Later at the North River Civic Center, Corporate Image Office Park , Suite 201 (behind Northgate Mall and close to the post office).

Questions that will be addressed are:

-How long can you expect an implant to last?
-What potential problems should you look out for?
-How will TRAM flaps or DIEP flaps affect physical activity in the future?

Organizers said, "Come with your questions about how to make the most of your reconstruction now and in the future."

Breast cancer survivors, their family and friends, medical professionals, and students are invited to attend the free sessions. A light dinner is provided.
