The Steel Brothers Motorcycle Club of Chattanooga held the first annual Big Hearts for Little Hands Motorcycle Rally benefiting T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on August 2. Four members of the motorcycle club visited the NICU to present a check for $2607.00.

The motorcycle ride began at Thunder Creek Harley Davidson on Lee Highway ended at Engel Stadium. The rally featured a post-ride celebration complete with live music, door prizes, food and drinks at Engel Stadium. The Steel Brothers Motorcycle Club plans to make this an annual event with all proceeds going to T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital NICU.

"The foundation is extremely grateful to Steel Brothers Motorcycle Club for all they are doing to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital," said Rebecca Littleton, annual giving coordinator at Erlanger.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital is a designated Level III NICU, the highest level assigned by the State of Tennessee and the highest level designated in our region. The unit provides immediate access to pediatric and surgical subspecialists for premature and sick infants, all backed by specially trained neonatologists and nurses. The mission of Children's Hospital is to improve pediatric and adolescent health in a family-centered environment.

"Community sponsored events are extremely beneficial," said Mrs. Littleton, "not only because of the funds they raise for hospital programs and equipment, but also because they provide the opportunity to share the wonderful things that happen here and allow us to show why Children's Hospital is such a special place."
