TVA Employee Dies In Iraq

A TVA employee who was on duty in Iraq died on Wednesday.

TVA officials said it was the first TVA employee to die during the War in Iraq.

He was identified as Darrick Wright, who worked as an energy efficiency and demand response employee for TVA.

Mr. Wright, 37, was with the U.S. Army Reserves as a captain in the Engineering Brigade.

He had worked for TVA for seven years, starting out as an electrical engineer in customer service and marketing. He later worked in pricing and contracts.

He is survived by his wife, Katina, who is expecting their first child in November.
