Manager Bobby Cox
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves announced Thursday afternoon that they will bring all of their current coaches back to serve in their same roles for the 2009 season.

Cox said last week that this season's disappointments never led him to think about declining the one-year contract extension that he signed in May. The 67-year-old manager is signed through the end of next season.

First-base coach Glenn Hubbard will return for his 11th season on Cox's staff and Terry Pendleton will be brought back for his eighth season as the hitting coach. Pitching coach Roger McDowell, who had to deal with a number of injuries that crippled his pitching staff, will return for his fourth season in that role.

Bench coach Chino Cadahia and third-base coach Brian Snitker will be entering their third consecutive seasons on Cox's staff next year.

"I believe our staff has done a great job and I'm extremely excited that all of the coaches will be back in 2009," Braves manager Bobby Cox said. "Each of the coaches works extremely hard and they are great communicators. The entire staff is very dedicated."
