Police said thieves broke into a car lot on Airport Road and drove six vehicles off the lot.
Owner Manny Cruz of M&M Motors said the thieves got into the office and took all the keys to the vehicles on the lot. There were 40 vehicles at the business.
He said six vehicles were taken, including a blue 1997 Volvo that was used to ram their way out of the gate. That vehicle was found still at the scene - with major damage.
A black 1998 Crown Victoria was found abandoned on Tunnel Boulevard. It had been wrecked and was badly damaged.
Missing were a green 1997 Camaro, a silver 2003 Landrover, a gold 1997 Nissan Altima and a black 2003 Dodge Durango. The Landrover was later found at 1402 Williams.
A witness saw two black males ram the fence with the Volvo, then jump into a black truck and drive off.

A burglar alarm went off at the Brady home on Glencoe Street. An officer found the back door open.
Two 34" Vizio television sets were taken and the master bedroom was ransacked.

On Citico Avenue, Aisha Simmington heard the neighbor's dogs barking. She saw some kids heading down an alley.
Later in the day, she noticed that the bicycle she had bought for her grandson was gone from the back porch.

Shane Chastain of Norcross Road said he had his fishing boat out in the front yard ready to go. He said he was at the boat at 5 a.m. putting in his rods and reels. When he went back out at 6 a.m., they were gone along with his trolling motor and fish finder.
He said there had been a man at his house the previous night eyeing the boat and telling him he needed to keep it locked up.
He said the man told him, "People in the area like to steal things."

A woman on Aubrey Drive said two men came to her home on the pretense of a welfare visit.
She said one of them became nervous and said he had to leave.
She noticed that $22 she had laid on a table near the front door was no longer there.

Todd Shirley said someone broke into his BMW on Ashland Terrace sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight. The front passenger window was knocked out.
His brown wallet containing $80, a debit card and a credit card were taken.
The thieves left behind more cash, an IPOD and two boxes of 12-gauge shotgun shells.
The thieves bought $41.17 worth of gas with the credit card at the Kangaroo on Ashland Terrace at 12:30 a.m.
The clerk said the card was used by three teenagers in an older model, white, full-size pickup truck. A white female was driving it.

Edward Vinson was victimized while he was in the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Highway 58.
He found that his laptop computer, his wallet and his pistol had been taken from his car. He had left it unlocked with the windows down.
The wallet contained a bank check card, a blank check and $520 in cash.

Two officials at a school at 1300 Shallowford Road said a student came into the office, saying he was sick.
They said the student later became agitated and told them, "I'm going to knock your ------ ------- heads off. I'm going to punch you in the face and knock your glasses off."
The school officials said they feared for their safety.
The child's mother was called and the student was given a two-day suspension. He may be prosecuted in Juvenile Court.

A woman on Winding Lane found a business card in her driveway.
It was from the American Nazi Party.
It said, "Whatever It Takes, White America Will Survive."
