Chattanooga-based Big River Grille & Brewing Works is celebrating its 15th Anniversary next week with a calendar of special events, menus and flashback prices for Chattanooga fans.
Founded in 1993 with a vision of bringing fresh beer and innovative food to downtown Chattanooga, Big River soon expanded to four locations – Downtown, Hamilton Place, Nashville and Disney Boardwalk – and recently introduced a bottled version of its handcrafted Big River Vienna Lager, Big River Red Ale and Big River Pilsner at Chattanooga and Nashville retailers.
Over the past 15 years, Big River has become an integral part of the Chattanooga community, organizing the annual Southern Brewer’s Festival, which raises more than $65,000 each year (this year topping $100,000) for the United Way’s Chattanooga Kids on the Block charity, as well as supporting community organizations throughout the U.S.
Anniversary activities get underway Monday at the Downtown location with a day-long kickoff event featuring brewery tours, flashback menu items from 1993 (including favorites like Shepherd’s Pie, Imperial 375 Chicken and Trolley Barn Chicken) and beer tastings. Additional events include a Brewer’s Dinner and cocktail reception, Anniversary Tapping Party, Anniversary Bash featuring 1993 prices, Friday Fest, College Game Day, and Anniversary Recovery celebration, which will be held throughout the week.

October 7 – Brewer’s Dinner: Cocktail Reception 6 p.m.; Brewer’s Dinner 7-9 p.m.; Downtown Location; Tickets: $40 ($30 for Passport Members)
October 8 – Tapping Party: Anniversary Tapping Party 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Hamilton Place Location; Tickets: Free
October 9 – Anniversary Bash: Menu with 1993 prices, $2.75 beers 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Downtown Location; Tickets: Free
October 10 – Friday Fest: Traditional Oktoberfest menu and 1993 flashback menu items, happy hour specials; All Locations; Tickets: Free
October 11 – College Game Day: Wear team colors for $2.75 beers – all day; Downtown Location; Tickets: Free
October 12 – Anniversary Recovery Day: Watch the games on out big screen TVs and catch drink specials as we wind down the anniversary celebration: All Locations; Tickets: Free
