St. Timothy's Episcopal Music Group, Zammarin, Releases New CD; Seeks New Director
posted October 2, 2008

Zammarin, the music ensemble that supports the Rite III liturgy at the 9 a.m. worship service at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Signal Mountain, has released its latest CD, "Shine On."

The first compact disc recording, "Zammarin," was produced by Fran McKendree; its second release was a Christmas disc entitled "This Little Light." The new disc, "Shine On," includes many favorite songs, such as "Here I Am, Lord," "Sing Alleluia," "God Has Spoken," "Green Pastures," "Prince of Peace," and "Shine On."

Along with the first professional recording of David DuBay's "Sanctus," the disc includes original material composed for the liturgies at St. Timothy's.

The new disc celebrates the end of a three-year music ministry at St. Timothy's by Josh and Rebecca Edwards. Mr. Edwards was the first director of Zammarin, and Mrs. Edwards is a postulant for holy orders. They recently moved to Virginia Theological Seminary, where she has begun her studies.

St. Timothy's is currently conducting a search for a new director of Zammarin, and welcomes inquiries. For CD ordering and/or job description, go to http://www.sttimsignal.com/zammarin.htm or contact Philip Newton, director of Music Ministries, at 423 886-2281, ext. 107, or pnewton@sttimsignal.com.
