McCain And Biden Should Run Together - And Response
posted October 3, 2008

We have to make a decision very soon for the next President and Vice President and I for one, am concerned about both the lack of experience and readiness to lead in both Mr. Obama and Ms. Palin.

I've decided a better option would be Mr. McCain and Mr. Biden as President and Vice President, respectively. Both of these gentlemen have years of not only Senate experience, foreign experience and economic experience, but I think they both really do blend the two parties in a way that citizens respect.

I know the old guard in each of the parties themselves, Democrats and Republicans, would absolutely see red at such a suggestion, but that is because their vested interest is in keeping the status quo-it serves their individual, personal egos to continue down a path of partisan behavior. In combining these two gentlemen and their ideas, I see that we as Americans would benefit from their experience and especially their policy proposals and it would cause the two sides to work together.

I know it's far-fetched, but if true reform is what we need, and I don't think main street Americans would disagree, then in my opinion, this would have been the best option for our country.

Hmm. That's an interesting idea. But if we're daydreaming about a combined ticket, I think I'd go for Obama/Palin instead. I'm sick of politics as usual and I'd love to see a changing of the guard big time. Personally, I see the fact that these two people haven't been going stale in the world of American politics for decades and lost their connection to the lives the rest of us live as a positive. I want to see a fresh wind blow through the halls and strike fear into the hearts of the old guard-Republican and Democrat.

Well, since this is just a fantasy, I'll come back to reality and stick with Obama/Biden. They're not perfect (no ticket ever is), but I worry about my mom's health care, my kids' education, my middle-class taxes, and never again attacking a country and killing innocent civilians for the wrong reasons, so I'll stick with them.
