Walker County Chamber Hosts Small Business Lunch and Learn
posted October 3, 2008

Technology will be the focus of the first Small Business Lunch & Learn event hosted by the Walker County Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature a presentation and lunch within a one-hour time frame so that business people do not have to be away from their office or store very long.

The Lunch & Learn will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring. The topic of the seminar is "Using Technology to Run Your Business More Effectively". Specifically, the presenter will talk about using document scanning to save time and increase security and productivity.

The seminar will start promptly at 11:30 and last one hour. A brown bag lunch will be served for attendees to eat lunch during the presentation.

"We know that business owners are strapped for time and money," said Chamber President Stacy Mauer. "The Lunch and Learn session was designed to give business people information they can use to grow their business without taking up more time than a regular lunch hour."

The cost to attend is $12 for Chamber members and $22 for non-members. To RSVP for this event, contact the Chamber at 706 375-7702. When you RSVP, please indicate if you desire a vegetarian meal.
