Each year the North River Rotary provides a Dictionary for every third grader and a Thesaurus for every fifth grader at Rivermont Elementary. This year’s presentation of dictionaries and thesaurus’ will be Monday at 2:45 for third grade and at 3 p.m. for fifth grade in the school cafeteria.
Officials said, "This annual project supports the Rivermont School Improvement Goals in reading, writing and language. The project may well be one of the reasons that Rivermont’s fifth graders had a 23% gain in writing scores on the TCAP Writing Assessment last year."
Rivermont welcomes visitors to celebrate their writing success and the gracious gift of learning from North River Rotary.
