In Friday's opening round of match play in the annual Chattanooga TPC, John Lambert and Pat Corey pulled off upsets of the top two seeded players.
On Saturday in the quarterfinals at Council Fire, neither Lambert nor Corey couldn't survive.
Also on Friday, UTC standouts Tripp Harris and Derek Rende advanced. The only problem, they had to play in Saturday's quarterfinals. Harris survived over his former Soddy-Daisy High School teammate, 1 up.
Lambert lost to Caleb Roberson and Corey lost to Tom Baird.
The other quarterfinal winner was Sam Bedwell.
The TPC will continue with Sunday morning's semifinals with Harris facing Baird of the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club and the Lee University teammates -- Bedwell and Roberson -- meeting in the other.
The final will be played after lunch.

No. 4 Sam Bedwell def. No. 12 Mitch Hufstetler, 19 holes.
No. 7 Tom Baird def. No. 15 Pat Corey, 2 and 1.
No. 3 Tripp Harris def. No. 6 Derek Rende, 1-up.
Sunday’s Matches
8:20 a.m.-Roberson vs. Bedwell.
8:30 a.m.-Baird vs. Harris.
