Goodbye To The Old Target Building At Northgate
posted October 5, 2008

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at Red Lobster at Northgate. After we left the building, I asked to swing by the old and former Target building. I had spent 13 years of my life working in that building.

The face of the building is gone and it has been gutted. I felt a sense of sadness overwhelm me. Some folks consider it as just a building. To us who worked for Target, it is more than just that. It was home for us from 1989 til 2005. It was a wonderful place to work.

This time of the year, the stories of it being haunted by a little girl on a tri-cycle run wild. I have heard several accounts of this tale. I had witnessed it on several occasions myself. I cannot dismiss it, but who knows? So many people who witnessed such strange happenings in that building. I wonder if the new offices will experience such things as things going bump.

Such a sentimental thing, but, hey, it is called progress.
