Mrs. Bidwell was born August 26, 1920 to the late Nina and John Parker in Pikeville, Tn. She was a longtime resident of Chattanooga where she was a member for many years at Highland Park Baptist Church.
She and her late husband, Albert Bidwell helped build Harmony Baptist Church in the mid-1970’s on Hwy. 58 in Chattanooga. She loved to grow beautiful flowers, vegetables, and she greatly loved the Lord, her family, and her friends.
Mrs. Bidwell had a great sense of humor and she lived life to its fullest. She would say that her greatest accomplishment was her family.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Howard Marler and Albert Bidwell; her parents; several siblings; granddaughter; and great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her son, James Randall (Linda) Marler of Cleveland, Tn.; daughter, Beulah Ruth (Robert) Petty of Sale Creek, Tn.; brother, Benjamin Franklin Parker of McMinnville, Tn.; sister, Clemma Pendergrass of McMinnville, Tn.; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Paul Fox of Temple Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood East Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
