Betty Jean Brown Rawlston, 88, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, September 19, 2008, in a local health care facility.
A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a graduate of City High School and was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and the Northside Presbyterian Church. She was a medical secretary for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Brown, Helen Curtis, Ginna Humphreys; brother, Gordon Brown.
Survivors include her son, Edwin G. Rawlston and his wife Debbie Rawlston of Chattanooga; her daughter, Barbara H. Rawlston, Marietta, Ga.; two granddaughters, Katie and Kimberly Rawlston; sister, Charlotte Clopton, Chattanooga.
Private graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday with the Rev. Tony Walliser officiating.
