With voter registration topping 200,000 for the first time, Election Administrator Bud Knowles said he is expecting a record turnout in the presidential election on Nov. 4.
"They are coming in droves" to register to vote, Mr. Knowles said.
He said the previous voter registration was around 195,000.
It is currently at 202,841.
Mr. Knowles said he expects another 1,000 people to register today, which is the deadline.
He said over 4,000 have registered in the past few days, causing election workers to be at their posts processing those all day Saturday and Sunday.
Early voting is Oct. 15-30.
