Mrs. Shelton was born in Dade County to William Herbert and Rosa Cross. She was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church where she attended the Friendship Sunday School Class. She worked for the Probate Court Office in Trenton, Ga.
Surviving are her children, Kristy (Tony) Gresham of Huntersville, N.C., Roger K. (Bonnie) Shelton, and Tim Shelton of Wildwood, Ga.; grandchildren, Brian (Jen) Gresham, Brooke (Caleb) Vuljanic, and Kimberly, Jon, and Baxter Shelton; and great-grandson, Aaron Vuljanic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lehman F. Shelton.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Steven Galyon officiating. Burial will follow at Trenton Baptist Cemetery in Trenton, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wauchatchie UMC, Attn. Ann Edwards, 3401 Cummings Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37419.
Rose will be remembered for her smile and love for so many friends and family.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
